    Thanks @steve51 for the tag.

    Hi and welcome @Tulip890

PIP isn't about a diagnosis, it's how those conditions affect your ability to carry out daily activity based on the PIP descriptors.

ESA and PIP are completely different benefits, with different criteria and claiming the one doesn't mean you're automatically entitled to the other.

Evidence will be needed to support your claim and this should state how your conditions affect you against the PIP descriptors. A face to face assessment is most likely because most people have them.

A claim could potentially take several months depending on backlog.

If you do decide to apply and you need further advice then please do post back and i'm sure people will advise you further.

    Hi @Tulip87

If you decide to apply for PIP, or would like to talk it through with someone before applying, you could also ring the Scope helpline on 0808 800 3333. The advisers can support you over the phone with filling in the form, or help you to find somewhere in your area that might be able to help.
The line is open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and weekends 8am to 6pm.

    Good luck with everything  :)

You also need to make sure you put as much information as possible about how your conditions affect you. Then add a couple of real life examples of what happened the last time you attempted that activity for each descriptor that applies to you.

Don't forget to send relevant evidence with the form to support your claim because they rarely contact anyone for this. Good luck.
