Hi, I get care allowance for my 18 year old son,  can I still claim care allowance if he gets a part time job?

    Hi and welcome.

The reason you're claiming carers allowance for him is because he claims a qualifying benefit. As it's you that's claiming the carers allowance then your son working will not affect your carers allowance.

I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

    You're welcome.

Do be aware though that even though people do work and claim PIP, if the work he does contradicts the reasons why he's claiming the disability benefit then this can go against him when he's reviewed next time.
