cerebral palsy and the corona virus

Hi,
With the recent report classing those with cerebral palsy as vulnerable in relation to the Covid- 19. I’m 22, student nurse with mild cerebral palsy that affects the right side of my body. I just want to confirm that I’m not classed as vulnerable as I am mobile and healthy. What’s your opinion as I’m on placement at the moment that already puts me at risk anyway.

Thank you,

How are you? Welcome to the community and thank you for joining us. As @poppy123456 has said nobody here is in a position to give medical advise, seeking advice from your GP is the most appropriate course of action for you to have a clear answer with regard to your question. Thank you for all the work NHS does and I wish you the best of luck with your training. Thank you.
Good to meet you and thank for your post during this stressful time. The government has used blanket advice to cover a very individual condition like cerebral palsy. It would be very difficult to tailor advice to suit everybody and every situation. I would advise that you have a discussion with your employer as you are a frontline worker.
The current list for at-risk people that should be self-isolating for 12 weeks can be found on the NHS COVID-19 Conditions page.
