How does she apply for a food parcel?

My mother is a pensioner she is also disabled she was asking the local food bank how dies she apply for a food parcel and was told to ask her doctor who nothing about this she has been told to ask for a referral letter or something along those lines can anyone help please ? ?

HI and welcome,If she's one of the extremely vulnerable people that received a letter to self isolate for 12 weeks then she will receive one of the parcels. If she didn't receive a letter then she won't receive the parcel.
