I found this site that listed movies that are free to watch due to copyright laws no longer applying. They are older films, but there are still some good ones to watch. There is this site with lots of films in different categories:

If you find one and search on YouTube, it has a good amount of them online if anyone sees anything of interest.

While being a fan of horror films, I haven't since that many pre-80s films, so watching the original House on a Haunted Hill and Night of the Living dead were pretty good!
