How coronavirus measures are impacting on people with bone, joint or muscle pain
Researchers from the University of East Anglia in Norwich are launching a new study to see how Covid-19 and lockdown are affecting people with bone, joint and muscle pain.
Their previous research has revealed the challenges and poor health outcomes caused by social isolation and loneliness for people with conditions like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, lower back pain, osteoporosis and fibromyalgia.
Now, the team are looking for people with bone, joint and muscle pain to take part in a 12-week online survey to see how they are coping at this difficult time of coronavirus isolation and social distancing measures. They want to know how this might be affecting bone, joint and muscle pain to work out who is most at risk of having problems with their health and wellbeing during this time, so they can target support to help people.
The survey is about 15 minutes long, and they would like to see how the coronavirus isolation and social distancing measures are affecting people over the next 12 weeks. To do this, they will send the same survey online every 2 weeks to see if people’s health and wellbeing stays the same or changes.
If you would like to take part, please access the online survey directly to complete it at https://survey.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0JHMDcuirafKOgZ or for further details you can phone the team on 01603 597205 to answer any questions you may have.
