Just wanted people to know that it does take a long time, mine qas6 aug 2019 until june 2020.Have faith in the system and stay strong, good things can happen.

Thanks @ipp2375 I am currently looking into getting my son mobility as he is now six and needs it. I am worried how long it might take to sort out but as long as it does get sorted that’s the main thing. This was good to read so thanks for sharing

@ipp2375 something to be aware of.
You’ve been made an “offer”. This ends your appeal and if you’re happy with that then fair enough, provided you were made aware you could refuse and go to tribunal. However, most offers fall short of what you’d have likely got at tribunal. Decent article on this at https://www.theguardian.com/society/2020/mar/02/dwp-accused-of-offering-disabled-people-take-it-or-leave-it-benefits?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other. The most common problem with offers is that they make 3 to 5 year offers in cases where people have lifelong untreatable or degenerative conditions and a tribunal may well have awarded an ongoing or 10 year award.
What DWP don’t tell you is that you can accept the offer; get the money in payment and then put in a further appeal against just the length of the award alone. Doesn’t even require a further mandatory reconsideration. -
