    Excellent choice there @Cantilip !

    I is for Indri.

A type of lemur, whos name means "There it is" in Malagasy. As that's what the local guides would say to the explorers when they saw one, so its real name (babakoto) got lost in translation. 😂

    Tarsier

"Tarsiers are haplorhine primates of the family Tarsiidae, which is, itself, the lone extant family within the infraorder Tarsiiformes."

You know you wanted to know that.

I do love it when people add facts about the animals. 😁

    Rusty Spotted Cat.

one of the smallest cat species in the world – only half the size of a domestic cat, with a body length of up to 48cm and a maximum weight of just 1.6kg. Though I don't think any part of them is actually rusty.

Quick mental note for the other game: rust is a colour!

    Oh, it's T-time….

    Tigon

The tigon  is a hybrid offspring of a male tiger (Panthera tigris) and a female lion, or lioness (Panthera leo). They exhibit visible characteristics from both parents: they can have both spots from the mother (lions carry genes for spots – lion cubs are spotted and some adults retain faint markings) and stripes from the father. Any mane that a male tigon may have will appear shorter and less noticeable than a lion's mane and is closer in type to the ruff of a male tiger.

    No-see-ums

No I'm not making that up. That's the family name for biting midges. 😆

    Also known as Ceratopogonidae

    Lhasa Apso

The Lhasa Apso’s original Tibetan name is Abso Seng Kye, which means (roughly) “bark lion sentinel dog.”

They are VERY shouty dogs, but have the best fringes in the animal kingdom.

    Nile Bichir

I used to actually keep an albino nile bichir. Amazing oddball fish, who look like prehistoric eels.

    Rottweiler

Or, for that matter, a rottweiler.

You get another go @Cantilip as fruits don't count in this game.

Unless you meant saaay a Tangerine Leopard Gecko? We could allow that? 😉

The color tangerine is a tone of orange named after the fruit of the same name.

    Use in graphic design

    [edit]

Hues of tangerine are sometimes important to graphic designers when constructing identities, brand recognition, and stand-out ads for clients.[2] Because of the brightness of the color variants, they are often employed to make a small but centrally important object stand out, especially when surrounded by the flat colors of earth tones.[3] Tangerine hues may also be selected as complements to other bright hues, and because of their relative rarity of use.
