I'm looking for a tool to use to raise a mobility scooter to standing either manually or automatically can anyone advise?0

Hi @Power_20 and welcome to our online community!! I'm glad you found us.
I'm not sure I'm understanding your question fully. When you say raise your mobility scooter to standing, what do you mean? Apologies if I'm missing the obvious!0 -
So sorry i have just bought a folding scooter a knight automatic and i didn't realise it isn't the kind that opens from a standing position and closes from a standing position. You have to lay it flat on the ground to open it and when it is closed lift it again so it is standing. I can't do that because of my disabilities. I don't want to get rid of the scooter I've literally bought it last week and i love it I haven't had a ride of it yet, because I need the support to raise it. I hope I'm making sense any advise and websites will be helpful.
I'm not sure if I am allowed to link Youtube I guess i am here it is - the Australian version that is to give you an idea of how big it is. By the way when closed it doesn't take up any space in the hallway unlike the Pride go go elite (another great scooter) that i had before.

This is the link to show you what the scooter looks like:

Once the scooter is closed automatically, to store it in my flat I have to lift it to a standing position to place by the side of the wall . When I am ready to open it again i have to lay it flat. Hope that helps in explaination.

I understand you now @power_20 but I am stumped as to what to advise. I'll keep having a look on the internet to research possible solutions.
In the meantime, I've marked your post as unanswered and hopefully some more knowledgeable members will be along to offer advice.0 -
Thank you all for your replies do let me know if anyone finds anything I have looked and can't see anything the only thing I can find is hoists that are put in cars. I don't want that. I'll wait to see what anyone is able to find, nice to be on the forum didn't know this was available.0

The other thing I wanted to ask is how is everyone coping with lockdown. I am still shielding and will be attempting to go out for some air at least on my new scooter (once I get the aid to lift it), for the first time in 7 months! its very daunting. Is anyone else in the same position?0

Hi again coping well in post lockdown, thete is a thread in the coffee lounge about peoples views of post lockdown you may be interested in1

Here's the thread you might want to look at @Power_20 - How are you finding socialising post-lockdown?
You'll see you aren't alone and a lot of people are finding the thought of going back out and about daunting.0 -
I love practical problems! Only you know your body, but is there a way to use a permanently clipped-on rope somehow to raise it? Anything you can use, such as the back of a chair or a doorknob, might belay the rope, if you can't haul it up directly.
Option two, is be ruthless and ask for help! Actually, you wil find that most people enjoy feeling good about themselves, which they do, if it's something quick and simple to help someone. Remember if it was you, and someone asked directions, or asked you to reach the baked bean can off the supermarket shelf. You wouldn't mind, would you?1 -
I definitely will ask if someone is around0

Welcome to the community @Power_20. Are you needing to get your scooter out of a car? Or more to have it lifted if you are putting it up at home?

Power-20 If you can put in the search Knight Scooters you can get on their website. Then, go to chat and tell them the problem they will help.
I have just tried but they want to talk to you. They sound friendly and know what you should do. Don't give up. If you brought it just last week they change it exchange it for something better for you! Okay?
