@OverlyAnxious they could I guess work through the reasons you can’t take medicines in depth and hopefully pick them apart piece by piece.I’m probably stating the obvious but it’s worth saying just in case as it is something I thought about before I started taking medicines for my issues. Basically you are worried about risk with pills making you ill, but you are ill now, so maybe the worst that can happen is that you feel different kind of ill, but the best that can happen is much better so maybe worth the risk.
I guess ultimately there is always some risk in whatever treatment you receive - look at people who have a physical operation - but they weigh it up logically and decide whether the very probably good outcome is worth a very possible risk.
Sorry if this is really basic stuff to you but it helped me a little bit.
