What's the first thing you ate this year

Hi all you lovely people 

What is the first thing you had to eat this year ? 

And what will you be having for your first main meal 

I've had some toasted fruit loaf this morning 

For our main meal yet another roast 

Garlic and herb spatchcock chicken , stuffing,  mash , roast carrots parsnips and potatoes , cauliflower cheese , yorkshire pudding and chicken gravy

Ha ha that’s a great idea for a thread. 

The first thing I ate was some toast with marmalade and the first thing I drank was an espresso.

Out first main meal will also be a roast dinner.

First thing I ate was 2 Weetabix with cold milk.

Main meal will hopefully be Pizza at tea time.

@MrAllen1976 glad I'm not at yours I dont like weetabix it's like baby food 

Not bothered about pizza either tho I do like pizza burgers

What are pizza burgers? I’ve had burger pizza which is pizza with burger ingredients in it, but not the other way around.

@66Mustang Pizza burger from my take away is 

Burger with your choice of topping and cheese wrapped in pizza dough with the tomato pizza sauce and it is then cooked in pizza oven 

So yummy

@janer1967 I've had Weetabix for over 40 years.

Had a piece of xmas cake with some wensledale cheese at 2 a.m 
For tea tonight we went mad and got some lamb, new potatoes and fresh carrots to be followed by a large helping of tiramusu

ours as well but its so expensive, its a special treat a tier4 new years day

@woodbine yes it can be depending on cut . I like fat on meat so often buy shoulder rather that leg or the rolled up breast which I do in slow cooker

I agree about fat on meat. I always like a nice fatty piece of meat which I think gives it flavour.

The first thing I had was eggs benadict  and for my  main meal I had salmon mouse  with rocket and herb potatoes  and then red velvet cake with cream
