My daughter is on housing benefit. How long could I stay there without affecting her benefits?

My daughter needs help when she has bad bouts of bipolar. I live 300 miles away.  She is on housing benefits. How long could I stay there to look after her.

    hello and welcome @patwork1

Are you asking this in relation to the lockdown guidelines?

Thank you for your response.  No, not during lockdown. I have recently moved, so not available just to pop in or be on call, when things get bad.  So when lock down is over, if she needs help, would I be able to stay there or would I need to find a bed and breakfast.

    Hi

You can stay there it wont affect her benefits as long as you can prove you have a seperate property you pay for and the bills and council tax

It used to be just 3 nights a week but this changed a while ago

thank you for your kind help.  yes, I have my own place etc. Not that I could stay too long either. But. do you happen to know how long for?  I wouldn’t want to get her into trouble.
