Hi There
My son is 15 and we are starting to think about his future arrangements as he is unlikely to be able live or work independently. He has CP with quadriplegia, epilepsy and severe learning difficulties. I know that with his EHCP he is already in a good position to have this covered on a professional basis but I just wondered if there are any parents out there who could share their experience of transition to adulthood and the provision for when we can't cope with care required at home anymore.
Would be grateful for anything you can offer me.

I'm not a parent myself, so I can't share any personal experiences, but I wanted to point you towards Scope's Parents Connect service. It's for parents and carers of disabled children under the age of 18 who live in England and Wales, and is a great way to chat to other parents who might be going through something similar.

Have a look at www,leonardcheshire.org, they used to support me and have residential care Facilities throughout the UK.
Note, the link might not work but if you Google Leonard Cheshire you'll find it.
