Well, I got the wrong end of the stick there! Thought you meant cement mixer...and your husband mysteriously disappeared at the same time the new patio was laid...
-
hahaha, hindsight is a wonderful thing

I'm not sure I can follow after the 'mixer' postI've still got my Mum's trowel, which must be 60+ years old, I haven't dug a large hole with it(!), just use it for a little light gardening. I've also got her cheese grater, & use this very often. It's round in shape, which I find better than the modern, shorter, rectangular ones we had when on a couple of holidays with my son & his wife.

Sure LeeCal....I can keep a beat going , especially using my banjo finger picks ....although 8 don,t play the banjo and washingboard at the same time .?
I hope my wife does not see that bit about women having an easy time of it these days ?? Sorry ladies ??? -
I think everyone has an easy time these days compared to olden times...I was listening to a file with some old soldiers from WW1 reminiscing...what they went through is unspeakable. I feel bad for thinking I have issues when I’m living in paradise compared to the trenches!

My item is a BOXTY grater made by my grandmother, I am 61. It still gets regular use, and is just as sharp as new.
Don't worry if you don't know what it is, it's an old Irish thing. -
Still use my Mothers potato knife that she had when she married in 1932. Also we are still using my Husbands Grandmothers Banjo Baromiter that is Victorian.

I still use my old Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, as an FM Radio.Online Community CoordinatorConcerned about another member's safety or wellbeing? Flag your concerns with us.
