Found an excellent cure for ringing guitar strings today thanks to my best friend. Elasticated furry cloth with a velcro strip, just the job as a muffler. It probably sounds simple but Ive tried several different methods over the past six weeks. Great solution and cost me nought!1
-
Yes @Sandy_123, the problem is strings you're not playing making a noise, called ringing. The sound ruins the music and makes it sound muddy and confuses the ear. I'm chuffed0
-
Yes I think I've heard that noise before. I would l9ve to play an instrument0
-
I used to like playing piano years ago, we had an upright but it was big and heavy so I sold it. I've had a couple of keyboards over the years and they are quite easy to play a tune on, not to concert standard but just little tunes using the right hand only if necessary, great fun and they're not expensive second hand.
I suppose the easiest thing to play is a triangle but where's the fun in that lol.0 -
Oh that's are boring triangle i can write fiction and sketch but instruments are another mine field, I could learn myself lots of tuition videos on utube0
-
I think I'll have a go at dragging myself upstairs.
Good night all.

I was in a local Sainsbury's where I ran into a young couple who had 2 packets of salad, packets of iceberg lettuce, 3 packets of tomatoes.i asked them are you really going to eat all that in 2-3 days? They said no but they wanted a good supply of them, I asked are you going to do the same in 3 days time when everything starts rotting ? Reply yes we'll do it till there is nothing left on the shelves. Why do people seem to have gone completely nuts in this country. any one remember the we might be running out of toilet rolls and the nutters who went mad buying them.we seemed to have forgotten the old days when you had to wait till warmer weather before you got tomatoes etc and we have got used to expecting year round food that 20 odd years a go we never got at winter ?1
