Morning @Teddybear12 i don't know Teddy i was thinking if it's because we've always worked, so had different lives, if that makes sense, he even carried on working for 3 days a week after his retirement age, to keep himself fit, but decided to finish work last September. I just think we both have to a just to us living this new phase of our lives, we always had great plans for our retirement years, but my health has put a stop to that, health willing you can keep up with any of your own hobby's Teddy, that will give you the break and feeling of independance and your own space. x2

@Teddybear12 I totally get you I'm not sure it's a gender thing as my bf also likes his own space
You can still be a couple and be married without living together if you can afford to maintain 2 households
Important I think to have time to yourself or having time with other people eg friends or hobbies. You have your friends and your bowling
You will work our what is nest and works for you.2 -
Morning everyone
Thankyou for telling us @WelshBlue hopefully next time for you
Another busy weekend for most of you. My family gone to the zoo today, so will probably land later.1 -
My mother went out of her mind when my father retired, she used to send him over to our house every day.1
-
My mother joined a club to get away from him for a couple of hours every week @Teddybear12 but he went and joined it too.
She was not amused.3 -
Morning @Sandy_123 morning @durhamjaide2001
That's made me laugh @Teigr
Yep i agree the one thing is to try and keep in with friends and our own hobby's, that's the BIGGEST thing i am missing at the moment, but can't dwell, hopefully my health will be better, with this walking etc i'm pushing myself through, hubby has offered to drop me round to my friends for a proper catch up, when he's finished the blumming bathroom and things have settled with his Dad.
Any way i'd better start getting myself moving, have a great day all, catch ya later x1 -
Yep I'm missing friends as well I'm with you on that one @SueHeath but I'm hoping to start a new group called Love2meetU. I have done the application just waiting for an envelope and stamp to post it.0

I'm going to get stuck into the garden today.
Mr Teigr doesn't know it yet but he's going to be cutting the grass.2 -
It is @Teddybear12,it's not too long at the moment but I want it cut before the stepping stones disappear.2
-
I'd love to help @Sandy_123 but I'll probably be off to A&E after tackling the borders.1
-
I know I'm hoping my gardener comes soon1

@Teddybear12 I have never had a relationship as I enjoy my own space/time/pace way too much. I don't actually think I could live with a partner it would drive me up the wall. I would be happy with a house full of plants and maybe a cat and a dog. My dream future is just me pottering about on my own, meeting friends, engaging in hobbies and hopefully making some small difference. I honestly don't know how people can cohabit without wanting to strangle each other
and forget children. It's not that I hate them or anything I just lost a lot of my childhood to bad things so I am now living for myself to make up for it!! I will say though I've seen studies that say women in relationships are less happy than men in relationships. I feel like that may have to do with division of labour and things like that, lots of men using 'weaponised incompetence' so they don't have to do housework. I wonder if people stay in relationships they're not happy in because it's comfortable, too? I think it's important to have your own life and time, so I don't blame you not wanting to live together 24/7 honestly. I'm grateful we have the choice now.
