Morning everyone and thanks, just a small bruise on my cheek, better then I thought. I recon the door frame came off worse lol.
@JoOfVengerberg if your growing mint, put it in a bucket and not the ground, as it takes over
My parents used to grow mint, they had a huge patch of it at the top of their garden, the neighbours would come round and help themselves to a big bunch of it every Sunday.

Yep grow a few types of mint in my garden and yep your right it will take over if it's just planted directly into the ground, i leave mine in pots, their great for the Bee's as well if you leave it to flower, i'm of in my gardening brain again ha ha xx

I love the smell of mint, the only thing I don't get is mint is green, yet in tooth paste and sweets it's white

My mother would do the same @janer1967,she'd also make mint sauce which I absolutely hated.

Ha ha yep i still put mint in with new potatoes and peas in the summer, i love mince sauce @Teigr but prefer the one in the jar rather then fresh. It's a great herb to grow and use if your into that sort of thing, it makes a great Tea as well. x
