-
Morning @lisathomas50 nice to see you are you and Mom okay now after accident x0
-
Good afternoon all. How are we all feeling this afternoon? That sounds like super speedy delivery @lisathomas50. It also, of course, means you get to order more fresh products than you might otherwise be able to0
-
Busy morning done my online shop couldn't get slot for morrisons till weekend so asda again
Tea prepared and in slow cooker now chilling with a cuppa and toast0 -
Good luck with the Asda shop @janer1967. Tea and toast sound like a great combination. Hope you can get some rest in with your tea and toast given that you have had a busy morning. What are you cooking in the slower cooker? - it sounds delicious0
-
@L_Volunteer Lancashire hot pot yummy0
-
Got a strong coffee to wake me up, had lie down for a hour but got men digging the path up out out side making the house shake.0
-
@Libby_Scope that sounds nice too I've not made one of those in the slow cooker will have to give it a try0
-
Totally agree @Libby_Scope I always use thighs not a fan of chicken breast
Do you make your own sauce or use a mix or something I don't like hot spicy food which Thai green curry can sometimes be a bit hot for me but cool it down with the coconut milk or creme fraiche0 -
When I order morrisons on amazon they use amazon drivers so it's alot better and easier1
-
Not everyone has Prime though or can afford to pay for it to access Morrisons on Amazon.1
-
@MarkM88 people have Netflix and sky with amazon prime you get everything tv,, music free shopping slots try before you buy free e reading shop and save on amazon most people have to pay shopping delivery's for 7.99 a month works out alot cheaper free home delivery on prime shopping on furniture and things like that its personal choice you dont have to be a prime member to shop on amazon any way
Like everyone else on the thread just saying what I do to make life easier for me or I am I excluded??4 -
@lisathomas50 no one is excluded and that includes you.I’m just making a point that you say it’s easy to access Morrisons through Amazon and that might be true for you. However, you are doing what you always do and start bringing other stuff into something that is not relevant. It has nothing to do with the fact you can access music or TV, etc, regardless what you get for 7.99 a month it could be a cost that someone can’t afford. Some people might only be able to walk to the shops because they can’t afford delivery charges for example. So yes in theory it’s easier for you but not necessarily for everyone and that needs pointing out.0
-
@woodbine and again that’s admirable. However, the conversation had geared towards Morrisons and therefore was pointing out that IN MY OPINION there is no need to bring in music, TV, etc to try and compare like for like when they were discussing Morrisons via Amazon.0
-
Hi everyone, @MarkM88 to be honest i see nothing wrong either, for 1 this thread is not about 1 certain topic, it covers a lot of topics, 1 min we talk about something in this thread the next minute we're talking about something completely different, it's the way this thread is. If you look back you will see that one minute we're on about gardening the next we're on about hot pots or the weather. As an example. Also using prime is still on a shopping theme. Just another option. The music bit etc is not off topic on this thread as everything on here is.4
-
@Sandy_123 where did I say it was wrong? What I said was, shopping with Morrisons through Amazon and the affordability for people has nothing to do with other prime benefits.I think you need to be careful before you accuse people.0
-
I'm not accusing anybody mark I'm merely saying what Lisa wrote was perfectly fine on this thread, affordability is same as paying morrisons delivery and I shall leave it there as I do not like threats2

I asked for people to get facts right before accusing me.3. In your opinion, you didn’t see an accusation, I did.0

I'm hoping I can see both sides here. Altho I do use Amazon Prime, it doesn't provide 'free delivery' of everything. With my postcode unfortunately I can't get a Morrison's delivery, so like @woodbine I also use Tesco. I use it because I don't want my son & his wife to spend the little free time they have together shopping for me,Altho music (tho limited by what you may like) has been brought into play, affordability of online shopping appeared to be under discussion. Members need to weigh up the pros & cons of any online deliveries, & if they can afford any perceived 'extras.' Sadly I don't feel I could afford all that some members can.I do get a bit fed up with the 'Keep it friendly' theme. Not a fault of any member, rather a perceived 'wrong' with Scope. We're all adults here, & will disagree on occasion, which is perfectly natural; do we support & try to help each other, yes?, & discussion is good.2
