    Hmm that's a good reason as any to celebrate, maybe you could celebrate all of your paydays like that?

    I am going to just a regular gastro pub type thing that serves British food - steaks, fish etc. :)

    @66Mustang
    Aww I can’t believe it so does my family member have addiction problems, and also had a breakdown years ago and I feel has never been the same person.
    They also do not live with me.
    I totally understand where you are coming from.
    I still can’t believe how one person can cause so much heartache
    Sorry I went on a bit off a rant there 🤦‍♀️

    @Jimm_Scope
    Thank you and I hope you enjoy your meal out.

    @Lou67 I agree one person should not be allowed to cause misery for so many others, if they want to ruin their own life then do it but they have no right to ruin other peoples lives

    @Jimm_Scope no only bread n tea bags as I ran out. But grandkids had cookie biscuits, chocolate and some sour sweet stuff that looks like it should come with a health warning.
    Just made proper home made chips, takes me right back to childhood.

    @Sandy_123 I love making home-made chips.

    Though, my air fryer doesn't give exactly the same result as my parents deep-fat fryer from my childhood. It's at least healthier and close enough.

    I've never tried an air fryer although they do look good

    I have never tried an air fryer either, what do they do? Apart from fry food? How are they different to normal frying?

    We got a pretty nice one, I'll admit they aren't exactly cheap to start off with.

    It's basically a small convection oven, the air is just circulated much more rapidly than a regular oven meaning more consistency with high temperatures on the food. Helps things crisp up. Hardly have to use any oil as well. I always felt slightly scared used deep fat fryers, oil burns are nasty. Since it's basically a small convection oven it can roast stuff too. We've also dehydrated things in it too since it has a function for that.

    It's definitely better at getting things crispy/crunchy than a regular oven.

    I hope everyone has a lovely evening. I’m just waiting to get picked up to go to my daughters for grandson’s birthday 🥳

    @66Mustang
    Hi I totally agree with you it’s so unfair. Hopefully they will get the help they need. Then things should quieten down.

    @Sandy_123
    Oh homemade chips sound amazing I can’t even remember the last time I had them. Enjoy.

    @Jimm_Scope can it fry an egg or something else that's runny? Or only hard things like bacon, chips etc? Sorry if silly question

    @66Mustang Nah, it doesn't replace pan-frying. It just replaces a deep fat fryer for deep frying. I made some very nice fried chicken wings in it the other week.

    It can do the job of an oven and the job of a deep-fat fryer.

    It's also not a silly question, I think english is silly for using the word "fry" and "fryer" for so many different things.

    @Jimm_Scope that makes sense :smiley: I think we might have to invest in one, they are much healthier aren't they?

    The only problem is our kitchen is full up, no room for anything else!

    That's what puts me off getting one @66Mustang,there's not much space on our kitchen worktops.
