Morning, how's your day going so far?

I am good thanks I'm feeling much better today after feeling rough yesterday, I think it was the Covid vaccine that made me feel rough1
-
Glad you're feeling better today @66Mustang. I really need to book myself in for my booster and flu shots.0
-
It's worth doing I think @Albus_Scope. I wasn't eligible for the flu vaccine and as I don't work I couldn't really justify spending £20 as it wouldn't be preventing lost income from being off sick. That said I'm sure if I got flu I'd probably be sat there thinking "I'd pay £20 to feel better".1
-
Haha, yup, that's exactly why I'll be paying for my flu shot, it's much better than the alternative.1
-
A friend of ours was supposed to have his covid jab yesterday @66Mustang,but his wife was ill for almost five weeks after she had hers so he was dithering about getting it done.0
-
It really is cold today0
-
It's quite mild here @Sandy_123,lots of heavy showers though.0
-
He's not feeling too good at the moment @66Mustang and I think he's worried the jab will make him feel even worse.1
-
Heya @Ada! Another night owl I see? We'll have to start up a late night chat thread on here, so people can keep each other company.1
-
The only change I like is when it's time to change the Halloween decorations for Xmas decorations @ada1
-
@C_J I managed to get my covid booster too whilst there. I'm in for a fun weekend 😂 Ooo nice! I just had 7 books delivered today, will update in The Book Nook!
@Sandy_123 Snacks 👀 can I join?
@66Mustang I couldn't believe how much flu jabs had gone up! they are £17.50 at my chemist. Last time I paid it was £8.00!1 -
I'll be shaking out the Christmas tablecloth on Wednesday @Albus_Scope2
-
Apparently people who put their Christmas decorations up early are happier. I might try it instead of buying books 😂2
-
We know of someone who puts up theirs in October
Everyone thinks they are mad
In fact they had a son who was in the army and due to come home at that time of year, they couldn't get leave over Christmas, so they were going to have Christmas in October for him
He was killed before he got to come home so now they put their decorations up at this time every year
A sad story I think1 -
I break out something Christmassy every week from November 1st until the week before the big day.5
-
I like that idea @Teigr, gives you more things to look forward to and it breaks up the work load.1
-
I take the decorations down in stages too @Albus_Scope,so the house doesn't look too bare.2
