So I did my first practice walk today - a gentle 2 and a half miles. Got to 100 yards from home and took a tumble. A very kind motorist stopped to see if I was ok and my neighbours who happened to passing rescued me and took me home. Took a chunk out of my hand and bruised my knee, but the biggest hurt was my ego. Not a good start, but next time shall wear walking boots! Wish me luck folks

Very kind of those passers by and your neighbours @coylygirl, I hope you feel better soon.
Not the best start? Sounds to me like you did great aside from the fall, but it will be uphill from now on and I'm sure you'll do greatOnline Community CoordinatorConcerned about another member's safety or wellbeing? Flag your concerns with us.
