S.A.R of records DWP holds

Hi,
I'm just wondering if anyone knows how long DWP holds records for and whether requesting them would trigger a reassessment?
I have lost a piece of paperwork that I know I will have sent a copy of for evidence for my claim - so its the only way I can think of that I may be able to get a copy.
Do I have to do a SAR separately for PIP and ESA or just to the DWP as a whole?
Advice much appreciated!

Thanks woodbine!
I tried that, but they don't have a copy as the law states only keep for "as long as is necessary", so due to the nature of it, it has already been destroyed by them.
It was just on the off-chance that DWP keep records a bit longer as my claim is still active.
Due to the new data protection/GDPR rules, I see they have to give you them, I just don't want to pre-empt an early assessment!0 -
Hi requesting a copy wont trigger an assessment
However they still are subject to the data protection as well but it could be classed as essential to retain
All you can do is call the DWP1 -
I will contact them aswell.
Thanks mikehugshescq
I didn't no that0
