I am a adult male (30 yrs old) with mild Cerebral Palsy. I’m looking for support groups of people living with CP to network, support each other, and talk to people dealing with life with CP. Does anyone know where I can find that?

HI @dabradl - & welcome to the community. Scope does indeed offer support to those with CP. If you have any questions about CP our specialist information officer @Richard_Scope will be more than happy to advise. There's also a CP online chat group next Monday (29th) from 4-5.30 pm which you would be most welcome to join. Click on this link to sign into joining this: https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/73129/our-next-welcome-cafe-is-monday-14th-of-december-4pm-until-5-30pm  ...ignore the date in this link, the next meeting is on Monday.

Hi @chiarieds - thanks for the information. I am excited to get to know others that are living life with CP. When I tried the link you provided it didn't work. Do you have an updated link I could use?

Hi @dabradl - I checked the link before posting it, & again now, & it works for me. I'm not sure where it will appear for you....using a desktop computer, a link appears on the right hand side of the screen saying 'Cerebral Palsy (CP) online Cafe. If you still have difficulty, I'm sure Richard will be able to help further. Try this for now to see if it works https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/73129

I have CP too and so do a lot of other people in the Scope community. We also have a virtual cafe that you can join if you would like to. Feel free to contact me if you want to talk about anything.

@WestHam06 I am doing well, thanks! How are you?
I have definitely liked the community from what I’ve seen so far! Do you do any sort of work to help you CP? Like PT or OT?

@Richard_Scope thanks! Where is the community located mostly? I’m in California and just curious.

@Caz_Scope thank you! I’m excited to be here and get more involved. I have started looking around. How many people are a part of the community? Do they all have CP?

Scope works in England and Wales @dabradl, so I'd say that's where the majority of our members are from. We do have some members from other countries too, however.

We have over 65,000 members in total, but of course not all of those are active at once! Scope is a pan-disability charity, so not everyone here has CP. We have members with a really wide range of conditions and impairments, along with carers, parents, and many others too.
