platonic hugs

hi everyone i thought i would attempt to spread some joy here by asking folks to share the best platonic hug you have ever received. So many are scared to touch us or maybe think we don't want this kind of affection so i want to use this space to show the opposite is possible.

Im very wary of being hugged. I find it to much. But having good people around me is lovely. I love animals, to hug my cats is like one big hug for me!0

I am not the hugging type of person so I have enjoyed not being hugged during corona virus to many people try and hug me and I dont like being rude to people lol0

Best hugs have always come from my son but now he is a teen I dont get them very often0

Grandchildren's hugs are just the best in the world. Guaranteed to make you smile every time2

I have two types of hugs, 1) if i hug you with both arms then i love you or we arw really close, or 2) if you hug me, and i only put one arm around you and pat your back then i really don't like you hugging me and subconsciously begging for you to never be that close to me again
That being said, the best hugs are from Daisy, Ewan, my Mum, my Nan, my nieces and nephews, my 2 dogs and my rehab family!1 -
I just read my comment lol I like hugging family thsts as far as my hugging goes the other thingvis when prople are talking to you and they keep touching you thats another thing I don't like lol0

Lovely question @pattern1991. I'm also not a big hugger, but it means that when I hug my friends it feels a little more special. I don't think I have one particular memory of my best platonic hug, but I imagine the hugs I'll give my loved ones once we're able to get close again will be up there
How about you?0 -

I know it's not the same at all, but have you ever tried a weighted blanket @pattern1991? Lots of people find them comforting. I've been tempted to get one myself.0

You certainly are @pattern1991!
That's fair enough. I think we've all been missing that, particularly over the past year.0 -
I feel unsure to talk about it.0

I'm definitely not a hugger...loved hugs from my kids who did it multiple times a day when small and although my eldest still gives me a big hug on arrival and leaving once my youngest got to his teens he didn't hug anywhere near as much and on the rare occasion I do see him now, he'll hug, but there's an awkwardness to the hug now which is sad.
As for anyone else...sooner hug their dog then them...1 -
Hello Tori_Scope
I don't want to talk about platonic hugs at the moment. It's difficult to explain as it is humiliating and complicated.0 -
That's okay @chloeknight16071992 There's no pressure to share anything you don't want to.0

I liked being hugged and that's what makes me lovable Tori_Scope.0
