I received a message in pdf format after my phone appointment for health and capability for universal credit.
In the letter it says I have been accepted for LCWRA from the 29/012/2020 and there is a waiting period of 3 months so I should receive my first payment on the 29/04/2021 but I did not receive it.

Hi @mrunlucky1st and a warm welcome to our online community.

Can I just clarify when you first submitted a fit note and what your assessment periods are?  This will help us to help you :)

Just to add: I've also tweaked the title of your post to help others spot it who might have a similar question, and also moved it to our Universal Credit category.

I first submitted a fit note around November 2019 because I was in physiotherapy for a knee issue.
I suffer from BDD and depression also. I was then requested to attend a phone appointment with the health and capability assessment but can't remember the date of that appointment, I think it was in February 2021 and then I received the results of the interview what said that I was awarded LCWRA starting from my first sick note on the 29/12/2020  and will receive my first payment on the 29/04/2021 because I have to wait 3 months before I get my first payment. I have put two messages on my journal over a week ago but no reply.

    Hi @mrunlucky1st

Thanks for that reply.  Do you happen to know what your assessment periods are?  If not, can you tell us what date you get your UC payment and then we can calculate this for you.

Also, just to check - have you been submitting continuous fit notes?

Sorry could you explain what you mean by assessment periods please.
Yes I have been submitting continuous fit notes but in the letter for LCWRA it says I no longer need to send them in.
Payment day is the 30th of every month.

It isn't a three month wait, it's three complete assessment periods.
If you are paid on the 30th your assessment period (AP) is 24th to 23rd of each month.
Your health condition has been taken from 29th December which is in the AP for 24th December to 23rd January
The three complete APs are Jan - Feb, Feb - March and March to April.
The LCWRA element will then be included in April to may AP payable on 30th May.

The bit I don't understand is
I first submitted a fit note around November 2019 ..
I was awarded LCWRA starting from my first sick note on the 29/12/2020
After November 2019 did you not send in further Fit notes until December 2020?

Ok I understand what you are saying about the assessment periods.
Thank you for explaining that to me, I do apologise. My medication makes it hard to think straight.

If you have been sending in Fit Notes continuously since November 2019 but this is your first assessment you really need to ask why LCWRA has not been backdated to then in which case LCWRA element would be payable from a much earlier date.

Thank you for your reply. I will speak to citizens advice and get some help off them because dealing with these situations is frustrating and makes my illness worse.
Thank you again for your time and help it's much appreciated.
