    Hi and welcome

Unfortunately you are not alone there are huge backlogs in some areas for assessments and they are prioritising new claims and renewals as you have an award in place you will be further down list

All you can do is wait

    Hi @dave392

Just wanted to say welcome to the community. :)

Yes, unfortunately it's a waiting game at the moment. Sorry, I know that's not particularly helpful to hear. So, I wanted to add that you're very welcome to hang around here and keep chatting to our members in the meantime!

Please do keep us updated as well. And let us know if you have any other questions for us, or you need any more help a bit later on down the line. All the best and hope you hear something soon.

@dave392 How did you request the report? I did change of circumstances in Jan 2021 rang up after 3 months to be advised it was sent to an assessor. 3 weeks ago received a bizarre phonecall from someone who said they were looking at my case and asked if i needed help with my supports and that they had spoke to my physio at length. The physio is the one who did my change of circumstances report. After a week I contacted DWP and they said that was my phone assessment! Funny that as I wasn't advised of it at the time and call lasted for literally 2mins. They said that i would hear something very soon and that they had received my report back but could only say the assessor had recommended an increase in points.
I left it for over a week and called DWP again and they said it was done without an assessment but haven't made a decision as yet and this may be a few more weeks.

Yes I got high rate for both assessor said to review after a year but I got a 5 year award as they went on previous assessments and medical history and records according to official letter took from October until about 3 weeks ago

That's good news. I last applied for pip 3 years ago and got standard living. I have Muscular Dystrophy which is never going to get better, only worse and has done considerably in past 12 months or so. Since I applied change of circumstances in January I have got worse and my issue is that I couldn't even tell the assessor that as I haven't even had an assessment!
I did send the form off with a very in depth accompanying letter from the physio at the specialist centre I attend regarding my condition and mobility and how bad it has gone in past 12 months or so and that it will get worse. I just don't want to go through all this waiting again.

You don’t always get a assessment on phone or face to face sometime they just do a paper assessment so fingers crossed for you and hopefully not much longer to wait good luck
