I claim UC LWRCA with child element. If I get PIP, do I need to tell UC? Will money be deducted?

Hi. Just a quick question (not that I know yet the decision for PIP) but I receive LWRCA with UC and also receive child element, rent is paid for too. If I’m successful with PIP, do I need to declare it with UC, and if so, will money be deducted?
As always, any advice very much appreciated.

Hi @Leigh14 I'm on PIP, it's not means tested benefit, so UC won't take it into account, but I did declare where applicable I was in receipt of PIP. Good luck with your application. And I hope you do get PIP. The application process can be stressful but any questions just ask. Good luck?

If you are awarded PIP the income from PIP will be ignored for UC but you should still inform them.
Do you have a partner or any adult non-dependants living with you? If so, getting Daily Living PIP could increase your UC entitlement because your partner could claim the carer element and/or there would be no non-dependant deductions from the housing element.
