hello everyone
I quite new to this forum .
I need some help as I have just received my letter from PIP and the have turn me down for my mental illness .
in the report they have told many lies like they have said I don't have a mental illness when I do . i suffer from depression , anxiety and panic attacks they have also told me that I don;t take my medication that I'm on which is another lie . I was very upset to the point where I though what the point in living when the DWP/PIP don;t want to understand how hard is it to live with mental illness .
can you please tell me where I go from here to get PIP awarded to me for my mental health . Do i need to go to a tribunal if so how and what do I need for the tribunal ?? . Hope someone can help with this as I have never done a tribunal before .

Hi there
The first stage of appeal is
a mandatory reconsideration and this will be explained in your letter
If this isn't successful then tribunal is after
There is advice un the pip section on here about appealing a decision but your best route would be to get some expert advice from welfare rights1 -
Welcome to the community @Ali_lovesTheUK
It's good to have you with us.
I'm sorry to read that your application was unsuccessful. As Janer1967 has mentioned, the first stage of appeal is a mandatory reconsideration (Scope website). Would you be able to read through that webpage and let us know if it makes sense, or if you have any further questions?
Many people with mental health do successfully claim PIP, so all hope is not lost. The Mental Health and Money Advice service have quite a lot of information about PIP on their website, which you might find useful.
I'm sending you an email now about the comments you've made about your mental health. It's nothing to worry about, we just want to check-in with how you're doing now, and if there's anything we could do to help
