Can you claim pip and LCWRA at the same time??? As I've been awarded both and I'm finding the benefit system confusing. TIA

Hi @helplessgamer - you can indeed, as many people do.1

Hi there
Yes you can get both I get them both1 -
Yes. LCWRA is an extra element that can be included in UC. PIP is a completely separate benefit.1

Who can claim lwcra0

loganbelle said:Who can claim lwcraAnyone can claim it if they're entitled to Univeral Credit. First you would need an assessment to see if you're entitled to it. You would need to report a change of circumstances and report your health conditon then within 7 days of this you will need to send a fit note from your GP.Once and assessment takes place if you're found to have LCWRA then there will be extra money from the 4th month of your claim. More details in link. https://www.gov.uk/health-conditions-disability-universal-credit

Can you get what? If you mean PIP then yes but being entitled to one doesn't automatically entitle you to the other.

please i want to know if is hard to get pip, and pls are they still going for assessment like lcwra?0

If you apply for PIP you’ll need to make sure you fill out the form with as much information as possible. It’s not difficult but whether you qualify will depend on how your conditions affect you against the PIP descriptors.
Yes, you will need an assessment because most people have them.2 -
poppy123456, thanx so much for your reply, i will try my luck .0

Have you been able to try your luck yet @lindajay and, if so, how are things going for you so far? Please feel free to let us know how this goes and if you need any further support1

L_Volunter, tanx so very much for your support, have not applied yet, because of all the stories i read online are not encouraging at all. the stress people are going through during the assessments and they will still say NO to them at the end of it is scary , but when i can face it i will come back here for the help.0

It sounds really difficult that the stories online are not encouraging at all and mean you do not feel comfortable applying @lindajay.
The one thing I will say is that everyone has different experiences and also we are here to support you through the stress.
You only need to do it when you feel ready though1 -
L_Volunteer , thanx so much2

PIP doesn't affect your other benefits since it's not means tested1
