I claim PIP, but ESA said I'm not entitled to disability element because ESA is contribution based?

I claim highest rate Pip but ESA tell me I am not entitled to any disability element because my ESA is contribution based. I live alone

Is there a reason why you only get cont.based and no income related top up? e.g savings over £16k ?2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡 -

No I don’t have savings I claim tax credits as well been off work due to illness. -
Can you clarify how long you have been claiming ESA? Is it new style ESA you claim - if so this is only contribution based and cannot include any income based amounts.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

You can only claim the disability premiums if your on income related ESA.
