5 min assessment, with a few questions. Nurse told me my assessment was paper based. Is this good?

Just had a phone call from a number I didn't recognise, was a nurse about my pip assessment. Said my assessment was paper based and just wanted to ask a few questions. The phone call took 5 minutes, don't know if it's a good or bad sign.....waiting game now.

Hi there
Having a paper based assessment isn't good or bad just means they have enough information to make a decision without a full assessment
Good luck let us know how you get on0 -
Ok thank you0
-
Well just had text from DWP saying they have received my assessment report, that's a hour after my phone call. Again that was quick lol0
-
Hi welcome to the community,You can now phone DWP and ask for a copy of your assessment report if you wanted, it'll give you a good idea of what award you may be getting and gives you time to prepare a defence if you need to do a MR.Hope its good news for you keep us posted.0

Thank you...what number do I call? And what do I ask for? Thanks0
-
Hi,You can phone the PIP Enquiry Line: 0800 121 4433 and ask for a copy of your assessment report. Just be prepared to wait on the phone though maybe take 30mins + at the moment.

Thanks0

But remember that the assessment report is not a decision and the decision maker may not follow the report. There are many people on this forum who just make themselves anxious getting the report. You can just wait for the decision letter.0
-
Thanks I think I will just wait. Been waiting for long enough so a few more weeks won't hurt me lol0
-
Ok I've gave in and called today for my assessment report. Stressing as I wasn't expecting the call and it was a quick 5 min call with questions fired at me. Don't feel very confident that it will be positive0

@Hevmitch63
Fingers crossed for you!
How long have you been waiting? I applied on 18th of February this year. I'm waiting for a telephone assessment. So a 6 month wait so far.0 -
Thanks...I roughly applied the same time as you and had paper based assessment and a quick call last Tuesday. I struggling to stop myself over thinking the phone call and now have convinced myself that I will get zero points. I'm not normally someone who worries lol but it's stressful0
-
Yh it is all really stressful. I think the worst part is knowing how your condition(s) affect you and trying to get someone to understand your struggles. On top of that it's the waiting... and waiting.... and more waiting. Other than sending me forms to fill in I've not had one single piece of correspondence from pip not even a text message to acknowledge any of my forms or evidence. It's been really a lackluster process. My mum called them and it's been sent to the assessment team on the 28th of May but nothing since then.
Fingers crossed you get the award you are entitled to and dont need to go through MR0 -
@RoxyC
Thank you , Hope you hear something soon0 -
So pip contacted my doctor, she just called me and asked about how my conditions affect my daily life. Felt I more able to explain my situation better to her than I did during the pip call. So I might have to wait a while longer for the decision ?0
-
That may not be a bad thing, at least you were able to convey more info in regards to how you are affected by your condition, hopefully your doctor was able to confirm all exactly how you are affected.0
-
Thanks @RoxyC Got my assessment report and going by the points I have enhanced for both, however still waiting for decision.0
-
I really hope it's not too long for you. All the best... hopefully a success story for a change. Let us know how you get on0
