Hi. Just an update to say I applied for pip on 28th Jan, had assessment 15th July. Today I notice a payment has been made to my bank, no award letter yet so not sure what I've been awarded. I think it's maybe standard for 1 or both. I'm happy with that as I applied way back in 2006 and was refused. ?

Hi, Got my award letter and have been awarded standard for daily living but no mobility award which I'm shocked about as I struggle every day. Scored 4 points, not sure whether I should do a MD Award is due to be reviewed 2031

@effie678 What I did when I did not receive the award I thought I was entitled to, was begin to prepare a Mandatory Reconsideration outlining my arguments.  As I worked on that, I realised I *did* merit a higher award.

It might be worth a try, doing that .... put your arguments on paper .... see if they stack up against the descriptors .... look for where the Assessor may have misunderstood/overlooked something you said/or had included in your application?

As many posters on here will counsel, it's best not to suggest an Assessor has *lied* rather they have misunderstood/misinterpreted what you said, or even (if it's true!) admit your *nerves* got the better of you during assessment and you feel you did not explain your issues thoroughly enough.

I found it useful to refer frequently to what I'd included in my application.  My favourite phrased became "I feel, although I explained in detail in my application regarding the impact of A/B/C, I feel I may not have verbalised these during the assessment due to X/Y/Z ....

Initially, I focused on the descriptors I believed I should have had more points - a couple of them, when I looked objectively at my arguments against the descriptors I realised I was overscoring myself - I think that's something we're all prone to do to a degree!

On the points where I was confident my arguments stacked up that was the basis of my MR.  I received a brief phone call (5/6mins) from a DM regarding the MR.  He focused solely on the issues I'd raised, and seemed to accept what I was saying regarding my ability to manage the tasks as described.  The award increased from standard DL to enhanced DL + standard Mobility.

I know everyone has/had their own method of approaching a MR, but I hope at least some of what I've outlined helps you decide how to proceed.

    Best regards.

Unfortunately it can take up to 10 working days, so you are just going to have to be patient, also you will need to factor in that RM have staff off isolating too so this could increase the time you wait.

One it’s been posted to you it’s a waiting game.
