Can a Decision Maker be overruled?

Had my MR looked at, was told on the phone by a decision maker that she was going to overturn the original decision and award me the standard rates for both daily living and mobility (previously awarded neither).
However, it seems like the arrears have not been authorised yet as I am yet to receive a payment in my bank account, despite it being a week or so since the phone call.
Is there examples of somebody overturning a decision like this even once it has been looked at? Because at this rate, I will receive my 'award letter' next week having received no payment, and we all know what that means...

Hi there
Ir takes a while for the payment to process it needs calculating , checking for any debts then authorising and paying then clearing in your bank
So I think you just need to wait a bit longer for the payment and letter
If you were told what the award would be then that will be correct -
The back-payment will first go to debt management so the DWP can check if there are outstanding debts to be repaid.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡
