Failed PIP mandatory reconsideration. Where can I get advice for a further appeal?

Hi. I was awarded 4 points mobility, and 2 points daily living. My mandatory reconsideration came back the same. The report still contained the original errors cab had pointed out such as I am not diagnosed with emphysema, and ocd which I am, and that I hold a full driving licence so must be OK, however stated both times I haven't been well enough to drive four 8 years. Also that I have no mental health input which I have.
I have been agraphobic for 10 years, and also have a rare skin disorder that has been so difficult to manage I am now under mental health, and a Psychiatrist, and a Psychodermatologist all of which PIP have been informed, and had copies of their reports. I have been a chronic pelvic pain patient also for 8 years, and I am stressed out as cab, although helped me till this stage have just emailed to say they haven't the capacity to help me with the appeal.
I'm not sure if it is just my local cab that can't help but that's what they are saying. Could anyone offer me some advice? It would be greatly appreciated

Hi I am sorry your mr wasn't successful
Have you tried welfare rights for some help1 -
Thankyou. @woodbine and @janer1967 I haven't heard of welfare rights before. I will Google them. That's what I thought that it wasn't about diagnosis's but that's what they kept saying in both their reports ( no diagnosis for this and that but I have anyway).0

Just to let you know, I edited your comment to correct the URL @mikehughescq, as the space between 'advice' and 'local' meant that the hyperlink wasn't directing to the right place.
I'm sorry to hear that your MR was unsuccessful @PeggyWeggy, but I hope looking into other sources of advice in your area helps you to construct a good case for the next stage of your appeal0 -
Thanks @Username_removed that's really helpful, and appreciated.0

Hi. I thought I would come back to let you know in the hope it might help others that I filled in an appeal form online. I then got a phone call out of the blue about 3 weeks later from DWP. At first I didn't answer as I didn't recognise the number but they left a text to say they were calling again in 1.5 hours time. I was scared but also glad in a way it was coming up quickly and not a couple of days away, The lady asked me questions for about 20 minutes. I even hesitated at some of them and said I know you are wanting me to say more than half the time the problems discussed affected me but she said she wasn't trying to trip me up.
She said she would phone me back in 20 minutes. 30 minutes later she called and said they could after all award me pip, standard rate care, enhanced rate mobility. I was stunned after everything I had gone through over a year almost to the date. About 2 weeks later I had the back payment of £6000 in my bank. They told me the first payment date would be at the end of Sept. Its not in there 3 days later but I'm sure it will be.
So my advice to anyone failing a mandatory reconsideration is to fill in the online appeal form. I read an article saying they are trying to cut appeal numbers and will relook at the application if they think you will win the appeal. I certainly don't think they mandatory reconsidered mine at all. The wording was exactly the same as the original decision letter with all the supporting letters ignored.
Hope this helps someone.4 -
That's great news, so happy for you. Still waiting to hear about my MR ?1

@PeggyWeggy Hi, I'm glad everything worked out
Just out of interest when you say you filled out an online form to appeal, how/where did you do this? I am waiting to hear back from a mandatory reconsideration but considering it's for autism I am highly expecting to have to appeal and trying to brace myself for that step as best as I can.
Any advice on the form is greatly appreciated as this whole process is very overwhelming for me, as it is for so many of us. Is it just a form to request an appeal/tribunal?1 -

Is it just a form to request an appeal/tribunal?Request the Tribunal here. https://www.gov.uk/appeal-benefit-decision/submit-appeal PIP isn't awarded based on any diagnosis, it's how those conditions affect your ability to carry out daily activity based on the PIP descriptors. Lots of people claim PIP successfully for the way ASD affects them. The main thing you need to concentrate on is where you think you should have scored those points and why. Anecdotal evidence will always be the best you can send.
