Hi and welcome to the community
Is that the condition where your face droops at one side
My mum had this it took a while to remedy but she did get better
Feel free to join in or ask any questions0 -
Yes that's the one, however two years on still lopsided no smile!0
-
That is a long time I don't think it's that rare a condition though but maybe the length of time is rare
I'm not giving medical advice but you may benefit from some physio or something to help with muscle tone0 -
I did physio at the hospital for a few months which regained some movement however I guess some recover more than others.0
-
Yes I would imagine it is each individual and how they recover
What does your gp say0 -
Hi @drongo22 - & welcome to the community. Sorry you still have Bell's palsy, which as Jane thought, isn't actually that rare unfortunately. Apparently about 1 in 60 people have this at some stage of their life. Please see: https://patient.info/brain-nerves/bells-palsy However, when I was a physio student, I don't think I ever saw a patient with this, tho one of my former nearby neighbours had it. I hope you are coping well despite this.
