Hello Cher

I miss being with my friends and family relatives and I sent a WhatsApp status that if anyone is available to see me on video chat is welcome but I will allow them to do it on special occasions depending if they are free. I understood that they have other plans whether it's work or with other people but I can't interfere with them a lot.

It's just that I need to be open-minded and to be confident with them.

Hi @chloeknight16071992 How are you doing?

Aww, I'm sorry you are missing your friends and family.  That's a great idea to open up and invite them for a video chat - did anyone get back to you about it?  I'm sure they wouldn't view it as interfering, more-so an opportunity to catch up and have a talk with you too  :)  Well done on taking that first step.

Are you feeling lonely in general?  What kind of hobbies and activities do you like doing?  I wonder if finding local clubs could help with meeting others.

I was hoping to see them but not at the moment. I am exceedingly lonely due to my misery and pessimisim.
I like cooking, drawing pictures, singing, dancing, swimming, going to the gym, Pilates, Yoga, Zumba, going out for walks, going to the cinema, going out to the theatre, using the computer and basketball.

I used to attend clubs but things changed.

Ahh that doesn't sound much fun  :(  Have any of your clubs moved online so they are taking place over Zoom or Teams?  I appreciate it's not the same as seeing people 'in-person' but attending and having that social connection, even if only virtually. could brighten up your day.  Plus, don't forget - you always have our community members for company too.

Would you be interested in volunteering or starting a college course?  There's a world full of opportunities out there just waiting for you and lots of friends to be made!  Maybe take a look at the courses available at your local college or have a look on Do IT at voluntary positions near where you live.  How do you feel about that?
