Hi,
I just wanted to ask, do the dwp always call if a mandatory reconsideration is sucessful?. Or can they just send the decision letter out, even though the decision was changed. Sorry this should be in the pip discussions. Dont know how to move it

Normally they will just send the letter out. They are only likely to call if they want to ask some additional questions to help them make the decision.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

@calcotti . Thank you for the reply. And this could be the case whether the mandatory reconsideration was successful or not? . I was reading somewhere that if the mandatory reconsideration is sucessful they call to tell you, followed by a letter, and if not you will just recieve a letter saying original decision upheld

As above they will only call if they want additional info/input otherwise they will write to you either way.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡
