Hi all
Circumstances prompted an application for UC back in mid March after being on care allowance and income support for many years.
I’d spoken to my work coach about the fact that my physical and mental health had deteriorated and I didn’t think I was in any state to work or even prepare for work.
I’d supplied fit notes and was given a wca form to fill in back in June.
I asked if an assessment could be over the phone or paper based.
few weeks ago I had a text saying I no longer needed to supply any more fit notes and my uc would still be paid, but my work coach said that was wrong and I did need to keep supplying them.
DWP couldn’t explain the text and said my report was still with the medical people.
This morning I had a note on my journal informing me that I had been placed in the LCWRA group and it had been done without the need of any asssessment.
to say I’m relieved is an understatement!

Gives me more confidence to fill in the change of circumstances form for worsening condition with my pip claim, which is standard daily at the moment.
although I know they’re different benefits.

Great news
Just be sure before doing pip that the worsening condition will potentially give you a higher award0 -
Thanks @janer1967
Yeah, that's what I'm hoping, been doing revision of all the pip guides lol!
Always takes me at least a month to fill them in doing a bit at a time and then going back to do any edits...
I'm keeping everything crossed!0 -
I’ve just claimed UC, think I might be assessed to be put in LCWRA, as personally can’t see how I will be ever be fit for Work at present.0

Good luck @I_Am_The_Walrus
I was surprised my claim was sorted so soon as had heard of people waiting over ten months and had put it to the back of my mind.
Hope it goes well for you1 -
Thanks Cress ?0
