just wondering if anyone has had any good luck stories?
can just be simple things or perhaps more...intriguing.

Apart from many lucky escapes where I could’ve been badly injured and of course meeting my other half, I once won £1635 with five numbers on the lottery!

How about you?

This will sound awful to people who had nice parents, probably even to those who didn't...
But my mother was, is and always will be ...well, as I put whenever a password asks for mothers maiden name..satan.

I had a dream that my mother had died but I'd won the lottery...and I remember being relieved I wasn't just dreaming it...then I woke up....so, yeah, can't wait!

This shouldn't be a luck story but I feel very very fortunate to have been awarded PIP to exchange for my Motability car which has changed my life. As said, it's a shame that I and others feel lucky to get the help we need, but that's the way it is!

I suppose my first bit of luck was being born reasonably healthy, though I was a blue baby, cord wrapped around my neck. It could have been worse, we actually have a grown up son with cerebral palsy.

@leeCal Y'ouch.  Still, you have to be in it to win it and all that.  Your time may still be yet to come.  I didn't realise you had a son with Cerebral Palsy before, how's he doing?  I hope he's managing his CP ok.

I don't know if I can put it down to luck or dogged determination but during a phase of entering competitions I won £1500 and a subscription to a well known TV service for a year.  It came just before Christmas one particularly tight year and I was so thankful!

Hi @Cher_Scope that was a piece of good luck.

my son has mobility problems and uses two crutches but still manages to get to work via bus. He’s fiercely independent and is saving for his own house one day. The relationship between he and the family is strained most of the time and so life could be better. Thanks for asking.

incidentally the Friday the 13th bad luck continues with my other half having a minor accident in the car this morning, broken wing mirro on the other vehicle. Where’s my four leaf clover ? ?

@leeCal Ah, I'm sorry to hear things between your son and the family aren't great. Those family dynamics can be troublesome sometimes, can't they? I really hope things get to a stage of improving but it's good he's able to live independently.

Oh dear, is your partner ok or feeling a little shook up? <passes you a four leaf clover>

No she’s ok, it was just a broken wing mirror on someone’s van who was double parked. Probably thirty pounds or so I hope. Thanks for the clover ??
