Football Prediction Competition (2021/2022) and Game Week 1

Hello everyone,

The new Premier League season kicks off this evening with Brentford versus Arsenal. Unfortunately @WestHam06 is going to be unable to follow up last year's fantastic football prediction competition, but the community team will do our best to carry on in her absence.
We haven't left ourselves a lot of time this year, but as in previous seasons here are the basic rules:

• each game week of Premier League fixtures will be displayed in the coffee lounge a couple of days before they are due to be played
• all predictions must be made prior to the kick off of their respective games
• a bonus (non-Premier League) fixture will be inserted into each game week
• each correct score guessed will be worth 1 point and guessing the score for the bonus fixture correctly will be worth 2 points
• after each week's fixtures are played, each player's predictions will be calculated and entered into the football prediction table 
• at the end of the season, everyone's scores will be tallied and the winner will be crowned Scope Online Community Football Prediction Champion and receive the prestigious (!) Online Community Football Prediction Champion Badge

Please remember you do not have to remember to guess every week. The important thing is to have fun and if you have any questions at all (or one of the team miscalculates your score!) please get in touch.

Thanks all for participating.

@chiarieds: there wasn't a bonus game this week as I know we left it very late in the day to kick the competition off and not everyone who wanted to participate got a chance to do so. A bonus game might have widened the gap between those in Game Week 1 and those starting in Game Week 2.

@66Mustang: I think @WestHam06 is okay, but I know she's very busy at the moment. Hopefully she'll be able to join us later in the season.
