Varies area to area, some people have been waiting several months and some get offered one quite quickly. it will more than likely be telephone based, but I believe they have started to reintroduce face to face too.0

Hi there and welcome to the community
There is a long wait for assessments in most areas currently Some waiting over 6 months
Majority are still phone assessment but some f2f have started back up
The dwp are estimated around 10 months for whole process to complete
Fingers crossed your not waiting too long now0 -
Oh really, didn’t think it would take that long.
thanks for your help0 -
I did a change of circumstances in January. I didn't have an assessment at all and received my update last week. So i would guess longer if you need an assessment.0

HiI applied at the end of January, had telephone assessment middle of July and payment in my bank beginning of August... I've now put in an MR as I only scored 4 points on mobility and that's the one I thought I would have got enhanced. My daily living was standard rate for 10 years. Will wait to see how long that takes. Good luck and hope it turns out well for you ?0

This is my first time applying for pip, so I’m not sure of the procedure!
thanks for everyone’s help.
I was going to ring them up to ask how long it will take…
maybe just best waiting to hear something from them, as everyone else has had to wait a long time themselves.
