    Hello and welcome  :)

we have many people here who can offer advice including scope’s resident expert on the subject @Richard_Scope  who I have just tagged in.

    best wishes…

Hi @subg! Welcome to the community. I don't think I personally will be able to help much with your situation but I have no doubt you'll get some great advice and responses from everyone here.

Do you mind me asking if there's anything in particular you want advice about?

Thanks both! I just found the CP-specific subforum, so will head there for my questions. Just looking for advice on being a better father for my son - I haven't had a chance to discuss with others with CP experience yet and I think it could be very helpful.

I hope you find what you're looking for. By coming here and looking to be a better person for him, you're already showing what an amazing father you are!

Welcome to the community @subg :) It's good to have you with us!

I've actually just moved your post into the CP category, so please feel free to ask either on this thread or by starting a new discussion. You may also be interested in our parents, carers, and disabled parents category.

As mentioned, Richard is Scope's Specialist Information Officer for CP. He's off at the moment, but I'm sure he'd be happy to help once he's back in.

Would you like to tell us a little more about you and your son, and any worries or questions you have around being a better father to him? As cozyplants has said, the fact that you're so keen to improve and speak to others with a similar experience shows what a great dad you are.

Thanks for the warm welcome @Tori_Scope. I already created a new discussion with some more details here: https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/83131/hi-my-youngest-son-has-cp-and-i-need-advice-on-being-a-better-father-and-supporting-him-better#latest - just let me know if there's further info that's typically shared in order to make a fuller picture for support.
