Does it matter if you have no evidence from a doctor?

Does it matter to pip if you have no evidence about an illness from a dr? I have really bad back from a fall few year ago. But I recently went to a dr about a lump in my leg to see if it’s cancer or not. While I was there I asked him to check a lump on my bum but he brushed it off and said nothing he can do about it so I didn’t dare say anything about my back in bad pain. I have told pip. Will they ask why I haven’t been to drs or asked drs about it? Just don’t want them thinking I’m lying.

Medical evidence is only useful if it states exactly how your conditions affect you. As most evidence doesn’t then it’s not really needed.
The best evidence you can send is your anecdotal evidence because you’re the only person that knows exactly how your conditions affect you.2 -
I'd suggest seeing your gp again to see if it's something they can help with at least.
Also, in my area they have a pain clinic that you can self refer to if you're not happy with seeing your gp..3 -
i applied for pip in jan was awarded this month enhanced for both parts and i sent in no evidence at all nor does my dr have any records of any relevance hope this helps1

No, as Poppy says, it doesn't matter if you have don't have 'medical evidence' @idontlikeliving - In fact some 50% of successful PIP claims have no medical evidence whatsoever; it only matters if it's relevant to your claim, & most Drs input doesn't mention how you dress, bathe, eat, etc. which is what's needed with PIP.Also, as above, ask to talk to your GP again, or find another more receptive GP in the practise; you have a right to have your issues looked into thoroughly.1

Even if someone has the same condition as you, you can't compare yourself to anyone else. PIP is not about a diagnosis, it's how those conditions affect your ability to carry out daily activities based on the PIP descriptors. As we're all affected differently you can't compare 2 people,
