66Mustang said:@Cress @OverlyAnxious wow 10 months is a long time. Do you get to stay on your current award until they make a decision?
What I mean is, if they send out the forms 6 months before your PIP is due to end, and it takes 10 months to make a decision, this leaves a void of 4 months. Does your award persist until they make the decision?
I was awarded by tribunal though, so have no idea why I've got a review instead of a full assessment form...and it was sent over 7 months before the end date, not 6.
I have another mate with similar issues on another forum, he got review forms at the same time, but he also got a Covid extension. He didn't get any confirmation of forms being received either BUT is able to use phones so called to ask what was going on. He was told that the receiving confirmation date doesn't matter atm because he's got the Covid extension...and that the reason he got a short review (despite tribunal win) was because of the extension. So that suggests I may have also got the extension, but never received a letter. Maybe it got lost in the post...
So the honest answer is I have no idea what's going on now! My mates PIP should last well into next year because of his Covid extension. But mine could stop next month...
I suppose my achievement is trying not worry about it since posting the forms!

I have no clue either but it shouldn't be a problem for me as I requested a review and my current award doesn't run out until spring 23...I mean they'll have surely done it by then?2

@66Mustang, Hi, I can’t say I’ve made any achievements recently. Though, I always say my biggest achievement ever was taking that step to living independently.0
-
@snailpace I think that’s a great achievement
it’s something I am working towards and I know how hard it can be. Well done for doing that.

@66Mustang, I hope you manage it, over recent years I have needed a bit more help and support, so now have a support worker for an hour twice a week. Though, I am quite an independent person and try and do most things myself, or at least, try to. I wish you well.0

Thanks @snailpace that’s really appreciated. There is nothing wrong with having a little bit of support in my view, I think everybody needs help with something, no one can do everything!1

66Mustang said:I just talked on the phone for 13 mins to a support worker
This is the longest phone call I’ve ever made in my life
I have been doing a 2 min call every month or so to work on the issue of not being able to use the phone but I have never done more than about 5 mins so I’m happy
What things have you achieved recently? They can be based on a disability and overcoming this, or general achievements, I don’t mind.
my achievement is getting out of bed and having a wash before putting on clean clothes instead of crying in bed feeling alone and miserable. I also joined this forum for a new start.?1 -

Well done for doing that. It can be hard just getting through the day sometimes and you feel like you don’t want to do anything so that’s great that you managed to do that. I’m glad you joined the forum and hope you are enjoying it so far1 -
Thanks 66mustang.
Having to look after my cat ? motivates me to get up on days when I have lots of pain and little energy. He reminds me that he has a routine of mealtimes and cuddles.2 -
@nannymaroon, I agree with you, I have 2 part Bengal house cats and they definitely motivate me in getting up every day. They have a routine with meal times and also a routine with play & cuddle times too.2

My achievement for today was finding a filling station that had some fuel for sale and filling my car up.1
