When you sign up for your mobility car the payment that you would have received as your PIP mobility payment is used in total to pay for your mobility car. This is paid directly from the DWP to the mobility car scheme provider. Some car required an upfront deposit depending on model others use all of your mobility allowance snd a few use nearly all of your mobility allowance the remaining amount is paid into your bank account.
