I’m only able to work six hours a week due to my health I recently got WCA I’m on UC can you tell me what other income I receive on top of my UC please

    No I don’t no if I would get it I have diverticulitis disease and SVT so don’t no if they would be classed as disability

    I would advise you use a benefits calculator found on gov website to see what you may be able to claim 

    Without knowing all your circumstances like housing , or partner etc its not easy to advise

    Hi @mccallum73 :) PIP is awarded not on your diagnosis, but rather on how how conditions affect your daily living and mobility in line with the PIP descriptors (pipinfo.net). Perhaps you could take a look through the descriptors to see if you think they're relevant to you?

    Do you mean that you recently had your work capability assessment (WCA)? If so, do you know what you've been awarded?

    No I asked UC wat money I was getting they just said I was not getting any just that what I was allowed to earn would go down they didn’t really explain it

    UC has replaced all the old legacy benefits so apart from Council tax reduction and PIP there's no other benefits you can claim.
    Have you had the decision of the WCA yet? If you're still waiting for the decision of that, once it's made a letter will be uploaded onto your journal and if you're assessed as having LCWRA then you will receive an extra £343 per month from the 4th month of your claim.

    I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.

    Are you 100% sure it's LCWRA and not LCW? Please do check your letter on your journal because people do get confused because the letter also says "we may now owe you some money" and not everyone is owed money. If the decision is just LCW then there's no extra money each month.
    If you didn't have the work allowance before then you will have now, which means you'll be able to a certain amount of money each month before the 63% deductions apply. If you claim for help with your rent then it's £293 per month or £515 if you don't.

    It’s WCA I’m getting sorry I’m not really good with things like this it’s says I’m not capable to work more than 6 hrs a week I don’t need to provide any more sick lines or anything to say I’m sick it did say I was getting money paid back as the paid me short Dom June to July

    No you can't be awarded WCA (work capability assessment) you can be awarded either Limited capability for work (LCW) or Limited capability for work and work related activity (LCWRA) please check the decision letter on your journal to see exactly what it says.

    This means that you won’t receive the extra £343 per month but you will be entitled to a work allowance which means you can earn a certain amount of money before the 63% deductions apply, as mentioned above. 
    If you disagree with the decision and think you should have been awarded LCWRA then you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR) Before you do this I’d advise getting further expert advice from an agency near you to see if you would qualify for this group because if you don’t then there no point in requesting the MR.
