My partner was awarded PIP with no issues, when he was awarded hes applied for the new style ESA on the 3rd of August. Looking online it’s so confusing it’s been approx 10 weeks and no letters have been received. Using this forum it helped a lot with the pip process and undoubtedly it will help with the ESA process!
What is the rough time scale process and milestones from start to finish?
We’ve gotten as far as applying 10 weeks ago and heard nothing.

Any help from personal experiences and knowledge with this subject would be very greatful! Thanks in advance!

HI,That does seem a rather long time to wait to hear from DWP. Just so you're aware, for your partner to qualify for New Style ESA they will need to have paid the correct amount of NI contirbutions from working in tax years April 2018 to March 2020.As no letters have been received i'd advise you to call DWP tomorrow morning when they open and ask if there's any updates with the claim. It really shouldn't take anymore than about 4 weeks to hear from DWP.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
