Hello I started the claim for this in July , I recently been awarded lwcra and wondered if someone could please help as it states on the letter about being notified in 7 days about anything owed , does this mean from when I sent the form back to them or when I provided them with my sick note ? It’s actually very daunting to understand , because On my if claim it states July , so I’m confused to how to see or work out anything if I am entitled that is of course . Many thanks

The waiting period of 3 full assessment periods starts from when you first reported your health condition, providing you sent your fit note within 7 days. The extra money is then paid on the 4th month of your claim. When it's paid from will depend on the exact dates of your assessment periods (or when you usually receive your payment) and what date you reported your health condition.Potentially first payment will be either November or December.0

I’m still confused to be honest0

I gave the first sick note in July I was then sent a questionnaire , I was asked for further sick notes , gave them then invited to an assessment , had that got the award letter yesterday but the 7 days time statement if any money is owed ? Does this mean from July when I first started it or yesterday when I got the award letter if I’m entitled to anything of course0

If you reported your health condition in July you will not normally be entitled to extra money until October or November depending on the exact date you reported it and the dates your UC assessment periods cover.0

The waiting period means you're not paid the extra money at all for those 3 months. No one can tell you exactly when it's paid from unless we know the answer to these questions..poppy123456 said:When it's paid from will depend on the exact dates of your assessment periods (or when you usually receive your payment) and what date you reported your health condition.0

You still haven't told us the exact date you reported it.If you reported it in the July AP, then your waiting periods will be July/Aug, Aug/Sept, Sept/October... LCWRA starts from Oct/Nov Assessment period, with first payment being 26th November. So no backdated money is owed.0 -
Thank you so much for your kind help x0

Hi can anybody help me. I have been on sick leave since march 2020 and started claiming universal credit I was then sent a work assessment to fill in and then had the assessment over the phone. I then received a letter saying they needed more time and that my universal payments would stay the same. I then received another assessment and did that over the phone at the beginning of October this year and have been awarded with LCWRA could someone please me if I’m entitled to back pay thank you0

It's not paid at all before this time.Without knowing the exact dates of your assessment periods and when exactly you reported your health condition, it's not possible to tell you exactly when it will be back dated to. Based on limited information, it will be from either July/August 2020. Providing there isn't already a LCWRA element on your claim from a partner.

Hi poppy123456 thank you for your message does this mean they will backdate it from July last year because I had the assessment last year and then another one in October this year and how do they let you know you are entitled to back pay also no LCWRA claim from a partner.0

When it's paid from exactly will depend on this...poppy123456 said:shelly181 said:Hi can anybody help me.
