Hi all
As we approach the 1st of December have you got an advent calendar for yourself or bought any for others
What type have you got or purchased there are so many out there these days
I got my son a lynx one with miniature toiletries
My bf a hot sauce one with selection of different chilli sauce
I have a lego one
Let us know what you have

A lovely thread idea!
I have one, for the first time in years, and I'm very excited to get stuck into it tomorrow. I have a Cadbury white chocolate one, and my partner has a milk chocolate one, just so we don't get confused0 -
I haven't had one for years as I don't like chocolate. (Or Xmas tbh!)
I was tempted by one of the Lynx ones though. The one with Sure & Radox etc as well. Saw it at half price for Black Friday on Amazon...but estimated delivery is mid January so too late. If they do a similar one next year I'll probably get one.0 -
Don't think I've ever had one my daughter still sulks if I don't buy her one...she's in her 30's1

A lego one sounds like a lot of fun @janer1967!
I'm yet to buy one, but I will try and persuade my partner to buy me one, or I will get them for us both. I have a dairy intolerance, so I'm always a little limited when it comes to advent calendars. But, I'm sure there will be one out there for me

This is the first year I haven’t bothered to get myself one (or been bought one by someone else).
For the last few years I’d had ones with miniature bottles of spirits in - I’ve had a whisky one and a couple of cognac ones - but they were expensive at about £150 a calendar and I didn’t fancy that kind of expenditure this year.
I’m not a massive chocolate fan either so did without a chocolate one.0 -
There are so many alternatives to the chocolate ones now out there but they can be a bit expensive
Now would probably be best time to pick a bargain up
Aldi usually do a wine one which is fair price others like boots and Avon for beauty ones and amazon have lots different ones
I highly recommend lego ones you get daily item to build and make a Christmas scene with very small parts tho my sin has to build mine I can't see the small parts0 -
We always indulge in a chocolate advent calendar. Although it's pretty hit and miss whether there'll be 19 doors left to open on Christmas Eve, or if the calendar will be torn in half and all the chocolate gone by the 3rd.

Ooo a wine one sounds quite nice0

I haven't bought myself one in recent years, but treated myself to a Kinder one this year I got my partner a Barbie one (normal chocolates, gaudy image on the front )
I don't think that's sad at all @Teddybear12 It's all a bit of fun! I always think getting the pets involved is a cute idea.1 -
I have got a cheese one0
-
I’ve not bought one for a while now, however always enjoyed the chocolate ones because since I’m type one diabetic it was always a tiny treat each day.0
-
What did you get in your calendars today
It was socks in lynx one a santa figure in lego and fiery chilli sauce in the other0 -
Nothing today but I’m consoled by the fact that I’m a bit better off for not buying myself a calendar0
-
We do have an advent candle so might light that this evening.0
-
I also like the wooden ones you can buy and fill yourself with whatever you want like seeets etc.1
-
I'm jealous of your cheese one @colet!0
-
I agree @MarkM88 it's nice to add your own things into the calendar. Sometimes it makes it more meaningful0
-
@Libby_Scope yes there are some lovely ones out there and since you can reuse them they are more value for money in the long run.0

Very good start to the month for me, three days in and I already forgot to have yesterdays I guess today is double bubble for me!0
