Hi everyone, I put in a claim for pip on the 6th October and still haven’t heard anything for an assessment, does anyone know how long they’re taking?

Hi there. That's really not long at all. It could be several months yet. I doubt it's even made it to the assessment provider. Roughly 24 weeks I've heard but some people are waiting 10 months. I applied in July and had assement on 16th Dec. Best of luck to you. Keep us updated.

    Hi there

As above most claims are taking  around 10 months from start to finish and now dwp and assessors are back working from home it could be a long wait

I rang them last week and they told me that my application was sent to the assessor on the 26th October but they did tell me that it takes 3 months from start to finish but obviously not from what you are telling me

When ringing DWP you are ringing a call centre and not actually DWP their self. That timescales is very optimistic, even under normal times. Backlogs are huge so you could be waiting quite a while yet.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
